I'm not going to lie. There are times when I think about giving you up. Of deleting this blog and going back to watching TV after the kids are in bed rather than retiring to my office with my computer - and you.
But then I think about Alena and Jen and Morgan and Ryan and Day and the other Jen and I realize that I've met so many AMAZING, LIFE CHANGING people through this blog - and I think about the other amazing people out there that I won't get to meet if I give it up.
So I blog on.
But it's hard.
I jump out of bed with the alarm clock every day and hustle the kids off to school. I race to my desk and work and when I have a minute I race down to snuggle my daughter before she goes to kindergarten. Then I race to finish my work before dinner. Then it's dinner and bathtime and bed.
And when the kids are in bed and it's 9 o'clock and I'm WASTED - that's when I dig deep to find the energy to blog for you.
Because I dont have the time for this - or the energy - or sometimes not the inclination - but I dont want to give you up. Not the friendships that I've made or the ones I haven't made yet.
We appreciate it! :) I read your blog first daily. That makes me more groupie than friend I guess haha.

And we are so very glad for that. Because, well, we like it around here.

I don't comment very often- if ever- but you would be so missed if you chose to give up this blog. On the other hand, I think we all understand feeling overwhelmed and the need for a break. This blog makes my day! I always look for the link on twitter every morning! Have a great weekend!

You know, I really enjoy your blog. But sometimes life gets in the way and that's alright. You need to do what you need to do. :)

I love your blog and would miss it if you ever decided to stop. But at the same time I completely understand life getting in the way. The way I see it, the minute you're not getting more out of blogging than you're putting in is the right time to stop. Hopefully that won't happen for a long time yet.

Ever since I started
stalking youreading your blog I’m always looking forward to your posts and I’m sure it’s because of you and your “homework assignments” that hubs and I do the nasty more often. But if you must go, know that you’re appreciated by your faceless fans. Good luck!Posted by: akb | March 22, 2013 at 10:37 AM
I love your blog! I understand the difficulties, but please know that you have fans! And the true fans, won't be disappointed if you need to take breaks, we know it just means you're living, and that means we'll get to read a good story sometime!

You are the first thing I pull up each morning when I get to my computer - you make me laugh and smile more often than the "real" people in my life do. I love your blog, but each and every day I see a new post from you I wonder "how the hell does she do it"...you are awesome! Do what makes you happy!! And maybe have your husband do a 'guest post' once in a while to give you a break...just a thought. xoxo

I'm with all the others that have commented! I read your blog first thing every morning. You're such a role model for me around strong healthy parenting, open and communicative marriage, and committed work ethic. Not to mention being a powerful woman. Thank you Kit, for everything you have given us to date. I hope not to lose you but trust you'll make the right decision if/when the time comes!

Can I offer a comprimise? I too love reading your blog but if I only had the chance to catch up 2-3 times a week, the anticipation would make the whole visit w you even more fun. And you know as well as anyone ... "It's fun to have fun, but you have to know how." Love ya Kit

I don't comment often (if ever) but I love the joy and love and humour in your posts! But if you need a blog vacation every once in a while, take it! I grew up in a household of 4 kids and can really appreciate what you have going on...I don't have anyone to do the "homework" with but I still enjoy hearing about it. And my son sounds like all of your children at different times.

Please blog on. But don't feel obliged, or like it's gotta be regular. We just love having you here when you're here.

I totally get where you're at. I love your blog and have been a long-time reader, but running two of my own blogs (one for 7 - eek! - years) and freelancing for my main job, it is really hard to keep up with blogging as much as you'd like sometimes.
I agree with Mike, if you need to cut back and blog only say 3 days a week to save your sanity and have some me-time back... do it! I'm sure we'll all still be here :) XX

I would miss you if you left... I look forward to your blog....but would forgive you if you decide it was time for a change. :)

I don't know how you do it, I tend to only write one post a week, & don't even feel like those are as interesting as anything you write lol. You have a gift, but if you get burnt out from overload you can't appreciate it :( so do what you need to do! We will always be here when you have the writing bug!
