At dinner one night last week the kids were completely out of control. They were yelling, laughing, falling out of their chairs and the noise was deafening.
I looked at my husband across the table and he motioned toward his beer, "Do you want a beer?" he offered.
"No." I told him. "A Martini. At Ink48."
He laughed. "Is that in Boston?" he asked.
"No." I answered. "MANHATTAN."
He laughed for 15 minutes.
Love it.

This is so true. I love and hate traveling for business all at the same time. But the drinks are great...

You know, the urge doesn't end when you stop work travel. The other day, right after bedtime, I had a sudden urge to take a walk to the pub. When I was traveling a lot for work, to the UK, I'd spend the day at the office, head back to my hotel and continue some random stuff until we approached the end of the US work day, and then I'd take a 2 mile walk to a fun little pub. And I'd have a few pints, and the day would be better.
Where I am now -- there are no pubs in walking distance. I totally felt the need to head to The Black Bear.
Speaking of which, I miss cask ale.
