I did yesterday's "STOP JOKE" to my 4yo today - except she can't read so I had to say "Spell MOP, M-O-P" and then she did.
And finally when I said, "What do you do at a green light?" she new the answer and said "GO!" like she'd outsmarted me - except that "GO" is also the control word they use to make me start tickling them (so they feel like they're in control.) As soon as the word had left her lips her eyes got really wide, like "OH NO!" and I tickled her until she could hardly breathe.
"That was fun momma!" she told me.

This afternoon my kids went out into the back yard to play. My 6yo daughter wanted to play with one of my son's toys so she took it out of the toy chest. He told her to put it back because it was starting to break. She didn't so my other son tried to make her. She was FURIOUS.
Later, when she was telling me what happened, she was speaking so fast that I could barely understand her. (It doesn't help that she's missing her top 3 teeth.)
"He shouldn't have told me what to do!" she hissed. "He shoulda minded his own beeswax!" she yelled. "He's not the boss a me!" she ranted. "And then he chucked a CHAIR at me." she spouted.
And every time she recounted the story it was the same expressions, "beeswax!", "Chucked a chair", etc.
I loved the VIOLENT indignity expressed with innocent words.
Oh! She was SO MAD.
I've been telling her that I know she's the smartest girl in her class to give her the confidence to read, so when she was yelling at him she said, "You are not the smartest one in your class, but you can use your OWN brain and leave me alone!"
I was laughing so hard I had to leave the room.
----
Then tonight I walked into my bedroom and found this on my pillow:
Do you know who put it there? I do.
hahahahah...I love her already :)
