LOL awesome. I love that you make your kids write stories over the summer. That's fantastic!

related: I think spending a day with your kids would be h-i-larious.

I LOVE IT! Lol. One universal thing is humour, particularly from children. They are the best little comedians. Yes, I think they're better than little people who are comedians. Their humour is so raw and honest. Like the Newfies say, "Best kind!"

#6 is awesome! My 4-yo daughter was in her carseat when a song she liked came on the radio. She was dancing with her hands, the song said, "Drop the Beat". I told her to drop the beat. She really got going with her arms and just stopped. "Mom, I can't drop the beat if I'm sitting."

You have some of the funniest kids on the planet, seriously.

Book4MyDaughter

I love how kids can just make you stop whatever you are doing and just laugh.

Last night, we were pulling out of the parking lot of a local convenience store down at the beach (where my mom lives). My mom was telling me how awful it has been this summer, with near accidents in the lot, bad drivers, etc. My 6 yo son then told her about the time his father was with us over Memorial Day weekend, and he had a similar problem with someone in the parking lot. My son's words about how his father was speaking with a man who almost hit us were "It was like an Eminem song but without the singing."

I loved your list!

hahaha "Let's blow this clam shack" would have made me spew. And thank you for the story-writing idea. I just couldn't get excited about making my kid do math all summer.

Your husband's a REPUBLICAN?

I big puffy heart that writing idea, with glitter. I'm totally stealing that once my kids are old enough.

Even if the only good reason for having kids is to witness their witty remarks, it's still worth it. Obviously yours are not an exception; after all, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree, does it? :D
