I just got back from San Diego Sunday night at 1am. I was exhausted but before I could go to bed I had to perform my "wifely duty" - which was perfectly fine because after spending 5 days with 4 vibrators (giveaways), 2 roommates and 0 batteries I was totally in the mood.
But tonight my husband walked into my office and said, "hey."
"I'm sorry." I told him. "I have SO MUCH to do."
He looked deflated. (His posture, not his y'know.)
"Fine." I said. "We can go do it and then I'll come back here and work."
"Ok." he said and turned to go.
Then I think he suddenly felt vulnerable with his back toward me because he quickly turned around and said, "were you serious?"
I looked at him like, "You're kind of an asshole because I'm really busy but you're happy to sleep while I work as long as you get off." and apparently he's pretty good at reading my looks because I could see the fear in his eyes as he realized his eagerness may have just cost him a week of being "shut off."
He quickly changed his tune and said, "Don't worry about me. Finish your work so you can go to sleep."
And he was so adorable that I couldn't resist...
Aw! This is so sweet... sorta! I love that you two are so attracted to one another.

What a fantastic pickup line he used, too. "Hey." I'm going to have to remember that one for Wifefish.

You don't know how much this post just helped. Happy Hump Day!

Dude, I've so been there. I always give in, but mine is way more persistent because he knows he'll never be shut off for any long period of time, like more than a few hours.

My previous comment should be deleted, I mistyped my blog address and it takes you to some stupid spam site.... can't figure out how to fix.it.

HA! Love it. Oh Kit, you MUST make an official happy "Hump Day". The world will celebrate in fear- and in screams ;)

Careful, now, with that whole "eagerness" thing. If you ever get to the point where you don't sense at least a little disappointment when he walks away...
