Last week I got home from work late and threw my winter jacket on the back of one of the kitchen chairs. When we all sat down to dinner, my husband happened to sit in that chair. (He and I alternate seats so that we can take turns sitting beside each of the children - who sit in the same seats every night.)
He leaned back against my coat and said, "Is this where we're keeping this now?" He got up with the coat and I thought he'd put it in the closet - since he'd been SO CONDESCENDING about my laziness in just putting it over the chair.
The following morning I found it thrown on the diningroom table.
THIS is why my #1 wish list item is a cleaning lady.
"THIS is why my #1 wish list item is a cleaning lady."
eventually, a new husband! :D

Sounds like you just need better trained children. Put those kids to WORK.

I'll be your cleaning lady! I love to clean. and I provide snarky commentary at no extra cost.

A cleaning lady would be nice.
I am embarrassed to tell you how long it had been since I'd cleaned my bedroom. I finally got around to it over the weekend.

We had a housekeeper booked to come last week because I was going to be working all week then hosting Thanksgiving dinner.
Enter Virus.
Exit work (for two weeks).
Exit Thanksgiving dinner.
I thought I'd have to give up the housekeeper visit. I mean, why would she come if none of my reasons existed any more?
My husband took one look at the chaos that was the house after I'd been sick for two weeks and said, "Do NOT cancel."
Keeping this one.
The husband, that is.
But I'm pretty pleased with the housekeeper too.

Housekeeper is on my list too. I live alone, there is no reason for this place to be a mess but I would (almost) rather have a root canal then clean.

I want a cleaning lady... and an ironing lady... and a chef... and a gardener... and a pool boy. I don't have a pool, but there's other things he can maintain.
