I'm in Dallas for training this week. I left Sunday after dinner and will get home Thursday at midnight.
When I called home this morning to say Good Morning to the kids my 3 year old took the phone, got VERY teary and said, "Mommy, I think you forgot to come home!"
Ouch!! (((HUGS))) I hope your trip flies by and you have them in your arms soon!

Kids somehow know just how to turn on the guilt, don't they?

Oh my, that would DESTROY me! I spend a couple of days in hospital a few months back and hated every second of it. When my little girl heard my voice on the phone she got so excited and then burst into tears. I discharged myself that afternoon.

I had a similar conversation with my then-3-year-old (now six) when my husband and I were away for a wedding. I felt a little nauseous the rest of the trip. Hang in there; you'll be reunited soon!
