When I was in college there was a girl named Mirabelle who lived next door to me. She was hispanic and beautiful and she only dated the most amazing black men.
We lived beside each other for about 4 months before I learned any of this because the hallway that we lived on was separated into two sections with a door in the middle that separated my door from hers.
But I knew Mirabelle before I met her anyway. You see, sometimes in the night my boyfriend and I would be awakened by the screams, moans and noises from her room. And sometimes she and hers would be awakened by us. Almost always these were welcome interruptions of our sleep - interruptions that inspired us to stay awake and make noises of our own.
And some nights we would pass the baton from room to room with us inspiring them and then them, us and back again until we all collapsed and slept through our first class.
Those were the days.
And yet, that's how I think of YOU now, as inspiring me to wake up in the middle of the night and reach for my husband, and then tell you about it so that you'll be inspired to reach for yours.
And wherever Mirabelle is, I'm sure she approves.
I love that the sounds of someone else making love (look at me, so polite) inspired you. They'd just make me giggle.
One day I'll be a grown up. I don't know when though.

Last night I told my wife about your quip that your husband is "easier than a two-piece puzzle." That led to a teasing debate about whether or not I was that easy, too, which in turn led to a very good time.
Turns out that I am.
Keep up the inspiration, please!

Sounds like we have a great deal in common, down to the 200 bottles, though summer seems to up the number.
You are a fabulous writer with a sharp edge. I am currently posting a story about much of the same, including remembering "the wailing cave" of my youth, at www.afacebookstory-oneclickaway.blogspot.com. I hope you will take a peek. I will be back to follow you.

stories like that *do* make me reach for mine--the fact that he's an amazing black man helps too...

You rock! And yes, you've inspired, thank you very much. (and am publicly thanking you on my blog tomorrow!)
Oh and Adonis thanks you too. Just the bump we needed.
Oh and "amazing black man" is inspiring all sorts of naughty things. I think I have to go now!

I'm sorry that I haven't provided much inspiration lately. But you should know that it's mostly because of the inspiration that you provide. How much inspiration? Well, we have a new rule: if either person has to get up early, then no tongue in the good night kiss. No joke, that's all it takes lately to start the engines (for both of us). And I mean rocket engines, because once they're lit, blast off is a fait accompli.

And to to think all we ever heard our neighbors do was vacuum and play that Cher song "Believe" over and over again... your story is so much more interesting!
