On the weekends - or anytime we don't have to be somewhere - my husband and I take turns sleeping in.
One Saturday morning it was my turn to get up with the kids. I'm running around getting juice and breakfast and my son says: "Mom, I LOVE Betty."
Only half listening I say, "Who's Betty?" and he says," Oh nevermind about Betty, she's just upstairs sleeping with Daddy."
I chuckle and keep on making breakfast and then I stop. I think to myself, "My husband and I are pretty happy, but if he leaves me in 6 months for a woman named Betty I'm going to feel pretty foolish that I let this go by." So I say, "Honey, tell me about Betty." and he says, "I can't it's a secret."
So I say, "We don't have secrets, you can tell me everything." And he says, "Well, Betty is soft and warm and nice and for EVERYBODY!" And then it hits me. He doesn't mean B-E-T-T-Y, he means B-E-D-D-Y, as in the 'Everybody Bed', as in the king size bed that we have that fits our whole family - or, EVERYBODY.
I should have known that Betty was the same as Lamb-y or Frog-y.
My poor husband slept through all of this drama never knowing that he was a 3 year olds explanation away from getting a frying pan to the noggin...
This is why we have kids: they are so unintentionally hilarious.

AWESOME! How darn cute. The only Betty I can think of is Betty White and if your husband leaves you for her, at least you'll get some free episodes of Golden Girls! ; )

Oh god... I would have been ready to kill him AND Betty.
He's so lucky to have survived.

Your three-year-old has excellent taste. I too love a good Beddy. As a matter of fact, I wish MY three-year-old would stay in her Beddy more.
