I've been chasing my 6 year old around for two days trying to get her to let me pull out her loose tooth.
It's been hanging by a thread and the sound of her sucking saliva down her throat because she couldn't swallow was on my last nerve.
Finally she agreed to let me pull it - but then chickened out.
As we stood their arguing about it, her silver tongue did what I never could manage to do - it knocked her tooth out.
While she was still insisting that my husband and I "back up" my husband pulled out a hand mirror to show her how loose it was.
When she opened her mouth to see, her top loose tooth was tucked down behind her front teeth.
She looked at us in surprise!
"It's out!" we yelled.
She was very happy. I was mildly happy because she kept sucking down the saliva rather than swallowing.
yuck.
How generous was the tooth fairy?

Kids are disgusting.
Was it Tom Sawyer who appreciated the whole new way he was able to spit after losing a tooth (using the whole "tie a string and shut the door technique)?
