Been 7 years as of this past June. Met him my first day of college - we're both band nerds.

1 month and two days...after a seven year courtship. We're not ones to rush into things.

As of last May it's been 13 years. My 10th was the absolute worst of worst anniversary's so I certainly hope your 10th is much much better.

I have been married to my love for 11 years this month! October is a great month to get married. Like your previous commenter my 10th wasn't much to write home about but we both renewed the contract so I put that in the win column. Happy Anniversary.

Unable to be legally married in my state, but me and the woman have been together for 6 years and 6 months.

A year and a half!

After meeting on line for a 'one night stand', our 10 year anniversary will be in November. Longest one night stand in history!!

Well, that's a complicated question. We originally got married in October of 1994. Then we got divorced in June of '99. We got remarried in May, 2008. So, you could say 9 years, or 4.5 this time around. However it gets counted, I'm glad that I gave him another chance and remarried him.

5.5 years :)

I've been married one year and 6 weeks (not actually counting but the calendar was handy). I flirted with him for a year before he asked me out. He does things in his own sweet time :)

Been married for 25 years this month. Your sex story makes me laugh. We got caught by our college aged daughter one night when she said she wasn't coming home over her break. She told us she didn't want to talk to us that night and until this day she says it's THE worst thing that has ever happened to her. I truly hope that it is.

5 years this Saturday! And we'll have been together 10 years next April! Might sound like I'm the sappy one with remembering anniversaries of things, but it's him - in June, we celebrate "I Love You" Day (the first time we said ILY to each other) at his request. Nice to be a tomboy married to a squishy-feelings man :)

I blinked and we've been married for 3 years this November. We're expecting a little one in a few weeks but we still want to acknowledge the milestone. We married in our 30s and believe it's made all the difference. Congrats!

Married 14 years, together for 21! I feel quite old now, but am just 40 :)

Met in May, knew within two weeks that was who I was going to marry. Married one year later. That was 34 years ago.

We have been together going on 14 years this December. Neither of us wants to get married, but we have been living together for the past 12 years.
Not sure if this counts, but I thought I would share.

I'll be married 9 years on Thursday!

I moved to Boston up from Manhattan coming off a bad relationship with the idea of sleeping with every pretty girl I met. The first night I moved to Boston I went to a black tie affair in Beacon Hill along with 10 friends of mine. I bumped into the woman that would become my wife coming out of the coat room. We didn't move off that spot and I didn't see the friends I came with for the rest of the night. That night when I got back to my place I told the two women I was living with (just friends) at the time that I had met the girl I was going to marry. Serendipity. 16 years and 2 kids later, every day with her has been like that first night...other than the fact that I know she is coming home with me and not the other guys staring at her :)

Yes, October is a popular month...33 years on the 18th and every day is still a surprise!

In December, it will be 15 [extremely happy] years married!
Posted by: Aimee | October 02, 2012 at 12:17 PM
In December we will have been married 13 years. Hard to believe that it has been that many years. My grandparents would have been married 64 years this year. Hope to get close to that mark.

It was 10 years on the 28th. Survived cancer together and have never been happier or hotter together.

The end of November will be 10 years for us. My husband was my next door neighbor when we were kids and I moved away at about 12 years old. Eight years (and a failed marriage and a kid) later, we found each other again. It's strange to spend all those years apart, and pick back up like no time has passed. He says he knew right away that he would marry me, but because of my failed marriage, it took me a little longer. We have our share of ups and downs like any couple, but we fight for our marriage.

38 DAYS as of today :)
Posted by: Ninian | October 02, 2012 at 01:28 PM
May will be 23 years. We attended junior prom and even lived together for four years before we married. It has been fast and fun . Makes it easier when you marry your best friend.

14 years as of March. I did that from memory, but if I needed help, the date is engraved in my wedding band. While I occasionally play with the band and flip it, the only time it has been off my finger for more than a few seconds was when I had my galbladder removed, and even then, it was the first thing I asked my wife for when I woke up.

4 years as of August! :)
Posted by: Liz | October 02, 2012 at 02:19 PM
30 years - which is proof that she was serious when she took her vows-I have made her plenty mad once or twice (?) maybe. She is awesome and I am totally undeserving but very thankful!!!

28 years married and together before that for 10 years with three kids. Started dating freshman year of High School... OMG. I cracked up at the story above of the daughter busting them having sex... I read my daughter a book when she was young called "Where do babies come from?" and she closed her eyes as I was reading and said "ewwwwwww.... you've done "it" THREE" times? hahahaha! Happy Anniversary!
By the way, I'm going to NYC this weekend to visit my son and my old stomping grounds... will be there till Monday night. Will you be in town? Would love to have lunch on Monday, although I'm on a Juice fast... maybe we can meet at a juice bar :)

Next March it will be 7 years. We've already started searching for that certain someone who will scratch our seven year itch. But honestly I love him more today that when I met him at the age of 14 and even more than the day I married him 13 years later.

Nine years. Contemplating what to do to celebrate next year... maybe Italy? ;)

As of this past August, my man and I have been married 28 years. How time flies when you're having fun (70% of the time anyway). We have three daughters who are amazing people, so I feel blessed!

We'll be married 10 years in December! Long and winding road...

We celebrated 20 years of marriage this year. We married exactly 7 years to the day we met. Now we only have 1 anniversary which is the same for both: June 21. :)

8 years as of July 31st. We got married on a blue moon cuz I always told him I'd never get married...apparently once in a blue moon I did. I can honestly say I not only still love him but I still like him too!

We have been together for sixteen years this October 31st. I asked her to come home with me after class and she said yes. We got married in March of 2004 because what the heck. I wish all could have that option. When we got married we each took a half day off from work and did the County Clerk routine. Then in August had one of our all time best parties to celebrate her birthday and our marriage. We love each other every moment of every day and every night. We retired last year and that has only given us more opportunities.
We wish you and your husband a long and joy filled life.
Oh yea make sure the doors are shut and the tie is on the knob and the kids know that means do not disturb.

I think the thing I like best on all these comments is how MARRIAGE POSITIVE they all are! And how long some of you have been married - AND ESPECIALLY that if you're reading my blog you must still have quite a bit of fire in that marriage bed!

Celebrated 31 years on August 29. He remains the biggest hearted man I've ever known. There have been challenges, for sure (wee bit of an understatement) but he's the one i'm glad to be stuck with. Current challenge: his job has him living 300 miles from me. but, hey, at least he has a job!!

It will be 5 months on the 9th.... you are all an inspiration as well as a comfort!

January 2013 will mark 17 years together and 10 married.
We'll be going to Vegas to renew our vows.
By an Elvis impersonator.
Because we are classy like that.

My husband and I celebrated our 21st anniversary this past August. We met during preseason of my freshman year of college (fall athletes are on campus training several weeks before classes actually start each year - he was football, I was soccer); started dating around Christmas time; by April I knew we would be together forever; we married three and a half years later, after I graduated. Two amazing boys, three wonderful dogs, one apartment, six houses, four towns, two states - still together, still making each other laugh. By our next anniversary, we will have been married half my lifetime... that astonished me!

Happily UNmarried for 11 years now, after 20 years of marriage (can't say I didn't try!). People who are single often moan about not being married. Well, there are worse things than not being married and that is being married to the wrong person. Don't mean to be a downer, but here's to being happily UNmarried.
