I usually keep a spreadsheet of posts that I want to write for you - organized by topic and category and set up to post on different days of the week.
Because I'm #OCD (according to Google) and FUCKING PSYCHOTIC (according to my husband.)
It really depends on who you ask.
ANYWAY, Work has been a bit stressful lately and the kids' spring schedule (sports, end of school stuff, etc.) sort of threw my spreadsheet off it's rocker (to say nothing of myself) and, well, frankly, I've been winging it.
I resolved this week to get back into my anal retentive ways and start making a list again - but unfortunately I haven't cleaned my office lately so I keep finding post it notes stuck to various surfaces that say things like, "Can I be Kit?" "What is anonymous?" and my personal favorite "Rat-a-tat-cat"
I actually know what that last one is: When I was flying home from Detroit last week I was sitting on the plane beside and 8yo girl and her mom and they were playing a card game called "Rat-a-Tat-Cat."
It was such a great math game for kids. I bet my 6yo could even play! You get 4 cards and you have to try to get the fewest points between the 4 cards. I used to play a similar game with a regular deck with my college friends (for money) but this special deck seems a lot easier for kids.
Now if someone could please tell me why there is a sticky note over my desk that says, "Onlie" I'd be very appreciative!
Did you ever play GOLF with your college friends (for drinking)? We always played that one, and if you simply remove the drinking it could easily be played by a 6yo!

Well as long as YOU still get to drink while the six year old is doing said activities, it's all good :)

An entry several weeks (months?) ago said this:
6. My friend told me that she calls Match.com "ONLIE Dating"

Oh oh - the mystery post-its.. I can totally relate. I love when the notes actually contain important reminders, but are missing information such as who is involved, phone numbers, deadlines, etc.
I'll get there.

There's nothing wrong with spreadsheets and writing/scheduling posts ahead of time... I do the same damn thing!
Although my husband does call me "weird." Hmmm.

I always have so much fun reading your posts! So fabulous to be able to write anonymously :)

I make the habit of, any time I think of a post that I would like to write, to start a new txt file with the details . . . I don't really look at what I'm writing (I'm usually in the middle of a conference call).
Sometimes, like today's zombie post, they make perfect sense. Other times, I try to figure out just what I was trying to get to, but have no idea what that was.
I'm collecting all of those random txt files - I'll post them sometime - in a "can you figure out what I was thining?" post.

I love the spreadsheet idea! It completely appeals to my organizational nature. I am starting a google doc now as opposed to just a running list of topic ideas like I have now!

I have a wall almost wallpapered with sticky notes - make me feel good when I write them and stick them and make me feel very confused when I have to decipher them. Have to drop this habit and get more organized - spreadsheet is a good idea.
