I announced last week that I was planning a couples retreat in October in Boston. I think that this might be extremely ambitious time-line but screw it, I'm going for it.
Here are the details:
October 8, 9, 10 in Boston.
The price of the retreat is $1000 and includes the following:
- 2 nights accommodation at an upscale Boston Hotel (I hope to announce this soon I'm just working out the final details.)
- A cocktail reception and dinner on Friday evening with a "workshop" on marital intimacy. *
- Couples Massage on Saturday
- Breakfast on Sunday morning with another "Workshop" on improving intimacy. *
- A Riding Tour of Boston on Sunday after checkout.
The total value of the trip is $1200 but I was able to get a group rate at the hotel. I'm finalizing the details on the reception and dinner and will get those out as soon as possible.
If you're interested let me know. I need at least 5 couples to secure the group rate so if you're in, you'll have to put down a deposit pretty quickly.
I hope to see many of you there!
Love,
Kit
*Note: I am not a couples counselor. My husband and I (yes, he'll be there) will be discussing strategies that have worked for us in our marriage and we'll do some activities that will help foster communication OF AN INTIMATE SORT, if you know what I mean.

Boo! We'd love to be there but with a wedding in east bumfuck Maine the weekend before, cashflow will be a problem. I hope everyone has fun. If it works and you plan another one, please let us know and we will start saving up right away!

I just have a part time lovah. I don't think he'd want to go. but in his defense, he doesn't need any help if you know what I mean. you do. oh yeah.

I'm so happy that you decided to go through with it. But come on, a value of $1200? I'd put it much closer to priceless since the package includes getting to meet you in person. Would love to go, but a cross-country trip just isn't in the (credit) cards.
